About us
We were born from one specific hour: 6pm, after a full day sitting down
Spines-se started as a very ordinary frustration: spending the day hunched in front of a screen and feeling, every evening, the same tension between the shoulder blades that no two-minute stretch ever fully released.
We tried everything: cushions, rollers, the occasional physio session that helped for a while and not much more. What we felt was missing was something in between — not a complicated gadget full of buttons, and not a simple cushion that did nothing either. Something that used the body's own weight to open the chest and extend the spine, without needing to learn anything or depend on anyone.
Why an arc
The arc shape isn't a coincidence: it's the simplest way to achieve a passive extension of the upper spine, the area that tightens up most from typing or looking at a phone. One single move — lying down on it — replaces stretching routines that almost nobody keeps up for more than a week.
How we do things
- Simplicity over technology. We'd rather have a well-designed mechanical piece than a battery-powered gadget that breaks within a year.
- Five minutes, not an hour. If a habit doesn't fit into real life, it doesn't stick. Everything we make is designed to fit into a small pocket of your day.
- Honesty about what this is and isn't. Spines-se is a postural wellness accessory, not a medical treatment. We say so clearly on every product, and we recommend consulting a professional for any health concerns.
Who we're for
People who spend the day sitting down — in an office, in front of a computer, driving — and notice their body settling into the posture of whatever they were just doing. We don't promise miracles: we promise a simple, honest way to give five minutes a day to something most of us keep putting off.
Thanks for trusting us. Any questions, we're here.
